One person has died while three other persons sustained varying degrees of injuries in a lone auto crash that occurred at Ajebo road, Ogun State.
The accident involved an unregistered cement-laden truck
Spokesperson of the Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Agency(TRACE) Babatunde Akinbiyi confirmed this to newsmen in a statement in Abeokuta, yesterday.
Akinbiyi said that the crash occurred on Wednesday, October 21, 2026, at Agbedejobi Village, along Mile 6, Ajebo Road, in Obafemi-Owode Local council of the state.
He said that the cause of the accident was due break failure.
Akinbiyi explained that the driver lost control of the truck, while attempting to avoid a vehicle ahead, causing it to veer off the road into a ditch before ending up on a railway track.
He said that the impact of the accident forced the trailer to spill its entire load of cement into a nearby bush.
Akinbiyi noted that the corpse had been deposited at the morgue of the General Hospital, Ijaye, Abeokuta,
He added that the injured victims were receiving treatment at the same facility. (Guardian)
