The mayor of Idemili North LGA, Chief Stanley Nkwoka, has unveiled a three-pronged infrastructural projects in his council area.

He made the disclosure when he fielded questions from Anambra state information officers posted to Idemili North LGA Headquarters, Ogidi.

Nkwoka stated that the completion of the building projects would enhance the aesthetic of the headquarters’ environment and solve the problems of insecurity and dearth of offices in the council area.

“I’d like you to know that I have three-pronged infrastructural projects in Idemili North LGA.

“I would soon start executing the projects. And when completed, they would solve the problems of inadequate offices and insecurity in the council area.

“And the aesthetic of the Idemili North LGA Headquarters, which is at Ogidi, would be greatly enhanced, too,” Nkwoka said.

He further clarified that the councillors’ chambers was razed by fire, which necessitated its re-building.

Speaking further, he informed the information officers that the library located on the premises of the Idemili North LGA Headquarters had been re-stocked with books and other materials needed in a library.

“The library in the local government is stocked with books, now.

“And proper renaming of it after our literary icon and one of the founders of the modern African literature, Chinua Achebe, is in the offing,” Nkwoka said.

More so, the Idemili North LGA mayor disclosed his plan to mount a statue of Gov. Soludu at a strategic place in the Idemili North LGA Headquarters, saying that a water fountain would replace the eagle installed in the council area.

“A statue of Gov. Soludu will adorn a place in the council area.

“It will be a befitting honour to him for his good governance of the state,” Nkwoka said.

While concluding, he said that Idemili North LGA Headquarters’ gate would be replaced with a sturdier one, which would be an architectural masterpiece, too.
