Commotion as suspected herdsmen disrupt church crusade

Panic broke out in Agboda Village, Nasarawa State, after an outdoor church crusade was thrown into chaos, forcing residents to flee when suspected Fulani herdsmen reportedly disrupted the event.

The incident occurred late Monday, during a church crusade attended by local residents and youths. It happened in Agboda Village, where suspected herdsmen were said to have approached the gathering, prompting worshippers to scatter for safety. The situation came to light after a viral video from the scene surfaced online.

A viral video from the scene showed worshippers running helter skelter as the crusade ground descended into confusion. While the footage captured frantic movements and people gesturing as they escaped, no weapons or direct acts of violence were visibly recorded.

In the viral video, the man narrating the scene said:

“They came for a crusade here in Agboda in Nasarawa state. We came in for crusade In this community today, look at what the herdsmen did. As you can see see the way people are moving… you can see the youth, everybody is unrest for the sake of herdsmen, right here in nasarawa state.”
