President Ahmad Bola Tinubu, has been asked to be critical while making the appointments of any of the three Northwestern former Governors, Abubakar Atiku Bagudu of Kebbi, Bello Matawale of Zamfara and Umar Abdullahi Ganduje of Kano States as Ministers without curious checks of their background and their alleged financial cases.

Making the plea, a non-governmental organization, Northwest Youths Patriots while speaking to newsmen in Kano on Monday said the three former Northwest Governor’s are people’s who are having one alleged financial cases or the other.

The President of the group, Comrade Mustapha Mai Royale, said in the case of Matawale he is still facing an alleged N70 billion State funds case before the EFCC, and the case lingered in Court, therefore it will be counter productive to appoint somebody with such problems into a federal cabinet.

“The same goes to Bagudu who is still facing a N100 billion Hospital alleged financial fraud case and this is somebody that could even travel to places like America because he still has a case there”.

Mustapha Mai Royale, added that Ganduje case is something that everybody is aware of apart from his alleged Dollar Video Clip fraudulent case there are issues unsettled with him.

“Ganduje told the whole World that he has collected as total Revenue accrued to the State in eight years of N1.2 trillion and spend everything, but a quick check to where the money was spend could not be found”, he alleged.

The Group note with all seriousness that it will be against the position of the President Administration of Anti Corruption to now be seen working with People’s of these alleged financial fraudulent charges.

“We asked President Ahmad Bola Tinubu not to be in a rush and not to allowed specifically these three Northwestern Former Governors rushed him no matter their insistence and constant visit to the Presidency to appoint them into his Cabinet”.(New Telegraph)
