Senator Ekwunife
Senator Uche Ekwunife has described her victory at the election tribunal on Monday as a proof that the mandate given to her by the people of Anambra Central District “was stolen in 2015 by Sen Victor Umeh of APGA”.
She made declaration while reacting to her victory at the election tribunal saying that she has been vindicated.
Her words: “By the two victories at the general election and the tribunal I have been vindicated and it is clear that I won the two elections.
“I urge Chief Victor Umeh to allow peace to reign in Anambra Central District and let our people enjoy the dividends of effective representation.
“I defeated him in 2015 and he got the victory through the back door and today he has been defeated again.”
On his part, Sen Ifeanyi Ubah described his victory as a vindication that he was actually elected by the people of Anambra South Senatorial District.
“By this judgement it has gone to prove that the seven local government areas in the District gave me the mandate to represent them and be rest assured that they will get the best of representation,” he said.
However, Sen Victor Umeh in his reaction called on his supporters not to despair saying that the options are yet to be exhausted
“Great People! Thank you very much for your Faith and indomitable Spirit! We shall prayerfully approach the Court Of Appeal after reviewing the Judgment! It was like this on 9th October, 2015. Today is another 9th. Let us not despair. God bless,” Umeh said.
