The Federal High Court in Abuja has dismissed a suit challenging the decision of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to resume collation of results in Bauchi governorship election, a NAN report said late Monday morning.
Mohammed Abubakar, incumbent governor and candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), had challenged INEC’s decision.
The electoral umpire went ahead with the collation of results over the weekend, culminating in the declaration of Senator Bala Mohammed of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) being declared Governor-elect of Bauchi.
