Senator Okowa
Former Delta State Governor, Senator Dr Ifeanyi Okowa, on Saturday called on Nigerians to re-elect President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to continue his laudable projects across the country.
Speaking at the flag-off of the South-South campaigns of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the re-election of President in Port Harcourt, Okowa said Tinubu deserved a second tenure for his remarkable policies tailored to build a new Nigeria.
He urged the electorate to come out in 2027 to vote massively for the President and ensure victory for the APC and all its candidates.
Okowa, a two-term former governor and current APC candidate for Delta North Senatorial District, said he was satisfied with his decision, alongside Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, to defect from the opposition PDP to the APC after seeing the credible policies and programmes of the President aimed at reshaping the nation’s economy.
“You all know that in 2023 I was in another ticket but I have seen the light and I have seen what Mr President is doing for Nigeria. It is the right thing to be done and I have, along with my governor, long ago crossed to the APC to join hands with Mr President, because he is truly building a new Nigeria.”
Okowa said the South-South must not be left behind in the Tinubu re-election movement, insisting that the region has benefited from the President’s reforms and infrastructure drive.
He called on party faithful, supporters and undecided voters in the South-South to unite behind Tinubu and the APC ahead of the 2027 general elections.
