Buhari administration ‘very petty’, chasing shadows — Atiku

Presidential candidate of the main opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar, has hit out at the Muhammadu Buhari administration, accusing it of persecution, chasing shadows and being very petty.

Atiku was reacting to the arrest of his son-in-law and Finance Director of his group of companies, Mr Babalele Abdullahi.

Reacting through his official Twitter handle on Monday morning, Atiku said: “My son in law and lawyer have been detained, one for 3 weeks and the other recently. They are paying the price for supporting me. I urge those now persecuting them to remember that a government’s mandate is to pursue peace and justice for all, and not just those who support them”.

He expressed displeasure that instead of Buhari’s government to focus on its mandate, it is busy chasing shadows.

“Very unfortunate from this administration, instead on focusing on its mandate, they are chasing shadows. Very petty”, he tweeted.
