Minister of Labour and Employment, Chris Ngige
Last Saturday’s presidential election results of four out of the twenty one Local Government Areas so far released in Anambra State by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has been turned down by the Minister of Labour and Employment, Dr. Chris Ngige.
According to details from INEC's announced result, the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Atiku Abubakar trounced the incumbent in four local LGA where PDP held sway.
The LGAs include, Njikoka, Dunukofia, Anaocha and Anambra West.
Ngige who was the APC agent in the election insisted that the results announced by the collation officer, Prof Edmund Egbo did not tally with what was collated in the polling units and wards of the Local Government Areas.
He said," This is a clear case of over voting, and my party will not accept it. We know that you( INEC) are working to beat time, especially because of the number of presidential candidates involved, but the right thing would have been to start by announcing the results from the field before that of the entire local government."
