Atiku in PDP campaign rally
The presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar, says he is competent and will fulfil any promise he makes unlike the All Progress Congress (APC).
He said this on Tuesday while addressing his supporters during his campaign rally in Lagos State.
“I am not like the APC. When I promise something, I will do it. When I say I’m going to do something, I am going to do it,” he said.
Speaking further he reiterated his promise to restructure the country as well as create more jobs.
According to the PDP candidate, the APC had failed to deliver on its three main campaign promises of fighting corruption, insecurity and boosting the economy.
He, therefore, promised that if elected, he would reverse all the problems which he says had multiplied under the current administration.
“I promised Nigerians that I am going to restructure this country and I am going to do it.
“I promised Nigerians that I am going to create jobs. I have already been creating jobs and I will create jobs for you.
“APC said they are going to create jobs but they have been losing jobs and we have the largest amount of unemployment in the history of our country.
“These are not people you can trust. APC said they are going to secure this country… when they came, we had insecurity in only the northeast, today, we have insecurity in the northwest and north central, they have failed again.
“They said they were going to revive our economy, today, we are the headquarters of poverty in the world. I promise you we are going to reverse all this.
“Having said that, let me assure you, I am going to respect the institutions of our Constitution.
“I will work with the National Assembly, I will protect the judiciary and I will respect the Rule of Law, where each and every one of you will not be harassed”.
