Imo AA Guber candidate, Uche Nwosu
Governorship Candidate of the Action Alliance (AA) in Imo State and immediate past Chief Of Staff to the Government of Imo State, Ugwumba Uche Nwosu, has assured the people of the state of his readiness and sincere commitment to the creation of more wealth among widows and youths.
According to him, this will achieved by further expanding the scope of empowerment to triple the over 3,500 beneficiaries currently accommodated in his empowerment programmes.
Ugwumba Nwosu gave the commitment assurance when he visited the popular Relief Market Owerri to enquire from the widow traders he empowered few months.
Nwosu, who was represented by popular socio-political crusaders, Citizen Ikenna Samuelson Iwuoha, expressed happiness that the widows he empowered were all doing well in their trades, and promised to triple his efforts by expanding the scope of the empowerment programmes.
His words: “I have come to see and enquire how you are performing in your various trades, and I must say I am impressed with the efforts you people are making here in the Relief Market.”
He quoted Mr Nwosu as saying: “Rather than engaging in immorality and crimes, you have engaged yourselves with meaningful ventures with my seed money.
“Honestly, I am very much impressed and indeed further motivated to now expand the scope of my empowerment programme for widows and youths across the major markets in the state.”
One of the beneficiaries, a widow, Mrs Eucharia Ogoke, who spoke on behalf of other widows at the market, thanked Mr Nwosu for his milk of human kindness in remembering and empowering widows and youths of the state.
She prayed that Almighty God will continue to use him to put smiles on the faces of Imo citizens.
Mrs Ogoke, thereafter, called on Ndi Imo to give their total support to Uche Nwosu as the 2019 governorship election draws closer, insisting that the Action Alliance guber candidate remains the only leader in the race that would bring total and complete economic transformation of the state.
