The Emir of Kano, North West Nigeria, Alhaji Ado Bayero, who died this morning, is slated for burial by 4pm today.
A report in Daily Trust quoted Dan Rimin Kano, Alhaji Sarki Waziri, as confirming the time of burial.
The report said that arrangements are in top gear for the burial of the revered traditional ruler who died after over 50 years of reign over Kano kingdom.
News Express was among the first to report Alhaji Bayero’s death, quoting a palace source as saying this morning: “Our Emir is dead.”
Alhaji Bayero, who recently returned from a medical trip to Britain, died at his Royal Residence in Kano.
