APCON rewards 14 staffers for outstanding performance

The people-centred management philosophy of the Advertising Practitioners Council of Nigeria (APCON) was demonstrated recently as the council rewarded 14 of its staffers for their outstanding performances in service of the council.

Addressing the management and staff of the council at a forum to honour the winners of the awards, APCON Registrar/Chief Executive, Alhaji Garba Bello Kankarofi, urged the workforce to imbibe a culture of diligence, punctuality to work, team spirit, high performance and productivity. He noted that it was when each and every staff had done his or her bit well that the council could be said to have succeeded in executing its mandate to the nation.

Alhaji Kankarofi announced that the reward exercise was a continuous process which every staffer who shows outstanding performance would be recognised and rewarded accordingly.

Rewarded at the event from the headquarters of the council are Mrs. Susan Agbo, Principal Registration Officer, Mr. Eshiet Edohoeket, a vetting officer, and Miss Nkechi May-Nzeribe, a corporate affairs officer.

In Abuja office, Mr. Kolawole Akande, a registration and career matters officer, and Mr. Usman Hassan, a motor vehicle driver, were rewarded.

Mr. Saidu Aliyu, a monitoring and enforcement officer, and Mr. Bassey Archibong, executive officer administration were recognized in Kaduna zonal office.

In Kano, Mr. Adamu Garba, a system analyst, and Mr. Abba Garba, a monitoring and enforcement officer, bagged the awards.

The administration officer of Owerri zonal office, Mr. Benneth Okeke, was rewarded. Mrs. Grace Nwabiakem, a registration and career matters officer, emerged winner in the Port Harcourt zonal office, while in Enugu zonal office, Mrs. Chidinma Ogbonna, a monitoring and enforcement officer, was rewarded.

Similar rewards went to Mr. Gasal Abdullahi, an assistant executive officer (accounts) of the Ibadan office, and Mr. Ibrahim Gbagba, a driver in Ilorin. Each of the awardees received a cash donation from the council.
