Leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele
The Leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele, has warned Nigerians that fake polling units and booths will be used during the 2027 election to rig results in some places.
Primate Ayodele, in a statement signed by his media aide, Osho Oluwatosin, made it known that the fake polling units will be created across the country, and unsuspecting electorates can fall victim.
He warned the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to be mindful of such development because it will have so much negative impact on the election if it is not well handled.
He stated that the plans to rig the election have already been made, explaining that part of the implementation is mounting fake polling units and booths, including some electoral materials.
“For the upcoming election in Nigeria, I am seeing a lot of fake things regarding the election which the INEC must take seriously. I am seeing fake polling units and booths spread across the country to weaken the votes of some individuals and rig some people out.
“The commission must ensure they take this very seriously because it will have a negative effect on the election. Let the commission work hard in this area and ensure people are well-informed; if not, it will happen successfully.”
The man of God further stated that the presidential election will be very tough, but the INEC hasn’t shown preparedness for the election. He asked the INEC chairman to put his house in order and ensure a credible election; otherwise, it will affect him personally.
“INEC hasn’t shown readiness for this coming election. They don’t know what is coming, but I want to urge the chairman to put his house in order and deliver a credible election because there will be issues if he doesn’t. He will be affected personally. The election will be very tough, unlike the ones we have had in the past.” (Nigerian Tribune)
