Former Zamfara State governor and Director General of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Organization, Senator Abdul’Aziz Yari, has said, going by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s performance in the last three years, he would earn a fresh mandate in 2027.

The Senator representing Zamfara West made the declaration on Sunday at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, where he was received on his arrival from his overseas trip by party supporters.

The Director-General of the APC Presidential Campaign Council said Nigerians will continue to associate with the party based on its fidelity to its promises to the electorate.

He said, “I want to assure Nigerians that whatever promise we made during campaign, we shall keep to our promises

“Today, we have seen him [Bola Ahmed Tinubu] as president today, and by God’s grace, he shall be the president come 2027.”

“The crowd are here to pray for me and for the success of Mr. President.

“Our party is synonymous for keeping to our words. We pray that Almighty Allah will give him [the President] the wisdom to lead this country. We assure Nigerians that we shall fulfill all our campaign promises.”

Senator Yari also declared that the APC would rule Nigeria beyond the 2027 election cycle.

“We pray that our party will continue to be the party to lead the country after President Tinubu’s second term.”

Tribune Online reports that the Presidency announced on Saturday the former Chairman of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum (NGF) as DG of Tinubu’s campaign for the next general elections, while Imo State Governor and Chairman of the Progressive Governors Forum, Senator Hope Uzodinma, emerged as Secretary of the Council.
