A new Commissioner of Police, Umar Shehu, is to assume duty today in Kaduna, North-West Nigeria.
The state Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DSP Aminu Lawal, while speaking to our reporter said the new CP is transferred from Nasarawa State command to take over from Olufemi Adenaike, who is among officer attending a course at the National Institute for Management and Strategic Studies (NIMS), Kuru, Jos, Plateau State.
“Before his transfer, Shehu was the CP of the Nasarawa State command,” Lawal said.
Shehu was among the 13 Commissioners of Police across the country redeployed yesterday by the Police Service Commission. Also affected was the controversial Rivers State ComPol, Joseph Mbu, who has been posted to the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja.
