The death of Sir John Anyaehie has been described as a very big loss to not only Imo State but to Nigeria considering the various intimidating inputs he made to advance the socio-economic and political development of the country.
Evangelist Myke Obinna Ikemsinachi Ikoku, the Nkwerre-born political and business mogul, made the assertion in his tribute to the late philanthropist. Evangelist Ikoku described Sir Anyaehie as one of the first eleven richest men in Nigeria who used their God-given wealth to create employment opportunities for tens of thousands of Nigerians and non-Nigerians with the establishment of over 25 industries and factories, and over 100 trading concerns scattered all over the country.
Hear the Evangelist: “The death of Dee John Anyaehie is a personal loss. I have been following his footsteps by establishing industries as well. His death marks the end of an era.”
Evangelist Ikoku condoled the Anyaehie dynasty and Nkwerre people over this great loss. He specifically urged the Eshi of Nkwerre, Eze (Dr.) Chijioke Okwara, to bear the great loss.
In a similar development, Evangelist Ikoku has described the death of Chief (Nze) Emma Nwogu, a great son of Nkwerre, as a loss to Imo people. He said that with Nwogu’s death, Nkwerre land has lost another son who made great impact to the socio-economic and political development of the state. Evangelist Ikoku therefore called on the family to bear the irreparable loss, bearing in mind that their late patriarch led a life worthy of emulation.
