Samuel Chukwueze has undergone a hip surgery and will be out for at least three months.
This effectively rules him out of a 2027 AFCON double-header against Tanzania last this month.
AC Milan confirmed in an official statement yesterday that Chukwueze had surgery in London to repair a ruptured tendon in the left hip.
The statement further said that the player will now return to Italy to begin his rehabilitation.
The Serie A giants did not say how long Chukwueze will be out. But various other sources in Italy suggested that the Super Eagles forward will not be back in action before three months.
