As the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) procedures continue and the main examinations draw closer, candidates are advised to pay close attention to the official JAMB-approved CBT centres list to avoid stories later on.
The list, available on the JAMB portal, shows centres that are officially accredited to register candidates and host the conduct of the examinations. Any centre that is absent from the list is not approved and should not be used for UTME registration or exams.
Over the past two years, JAMB has intensified its enforcement of standards for Computer-Based Test (CBT) centres. Centres that failed to meet the board’s technical, operational, and ethical standards were either temporarily suspended or completely delisted.
Temporary suspension usually allows centres to correct deficiencies and regain accreditation. However, delisted centres must reapply and meet all requirements to be considered for future UTME exercises. Some of these delisted centres from 2024 and 2025 have not regained accreditation and are absent from the 2026 approved list.
2025 delisted CBT centres
In the 2025 UTME cycle, several CBT centres were officially removed from the approved list after failing to meet JAMB’s strict standards. A total of about 25 centres were blacklisted for technical malfunctions, poor infrastructure, or breaches of examination protocol. Several of these centres have not regained accreditation for the 2026 UTME.
