Dami Marshall and Nigerian music star Asake
Dami Marshall, Daughter of Fuji singer King Wasiu Ayinde Marshall, popularly known as KWAM 1 or K1 De Ultimate, has denied rumours linking her romantically with singer Ahmed Ololade popularly known as Asake.
The speculation started after Dami shared a photo of herself with Asake at an event and captioned it, “Mr Money and Mrs Money.” The post quickly sparked reactions online, with several blogs suggesting the two were in a relationship.
Reacting to the claims, Dami said she is not dating Asake and explained that the photo was taken when she met him for the first time.
“Guys, that was my first time meeting him [Asake], so I took a picture. Do not believe blogs, they can do anything for traffic,” Miss Marshall wrote on her Instagram page.
Her statement has since put an end to the rumours circulating on social media.
Asake, who is one of Nigeria’s leading Afrobeats stars, has not publicly confirmed being in a relationship since his reported breakup with his Gambian girlfriend, Madame Mystique, in 2014. (TRIBUNE)
