The Gen CG Musa Support Group has warmly welcomed the Governor of Kano State, Engr. Abba Kabir Yusuf, into the ranks of the All Progressives Congress (APC). The group described the governor’s move as a “wise and strategic decision,” underscoring its alignment with broader national development goals.

The endorsement was formally conveyed in a statement issued by the Director General of the Support Group, Ibrahim Dahiru Danfulani, Sadaukin Garkuwan Keffi/Betara Biu, and made available to the press earlier this week.

According to the statement, Governor Yusuf’s defection to the ruling party is not driven by personal motives but stems from a deep-seated commitment to the progress of Kano State and Nigeria at large. It emphasized that the governor’s decision reflects a dedication to fostering development, unity, and effective governance.

The statement further highlighted that the Grand Patron of the Support Group, Minister of Defence, Gen. Christopher Gwabin Musa, OFR (Rtd), stands in solidarity with well-meaning Nigerians in welcoming Governor Yusuf to the APC. Gen. Musa, praised the governor’s move as a step toward strengthening the party’s capacity to deliver transformative governance.

In a strong show of support for the current administration, the Gen CG Musa Support Group reiterated its unwavering commitment to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda. The group pledged to mobilize grassroots backing and advocate for policies that advance the agenda’s core objectives: economic revitalization, social inclusion, and national stability.

Christopher Gwabin Musa, we affirm our steadfast dedication to the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Tinubu,” the statement read. “We urge other well-intentioned leaders and citizens across the nation to join hands with the APC in building a more prosperous, secure, and united Nigeria.”
