The family of the Managing Director, Plateau State Water Board, Mr Apollos Samchi, has been thrown into confusion following the abduction of three members of the family by gunmen on Monday.
Nigerian Tribune gathered that the gunmen stormed the family’s residence at Rantya area of Jos South Local Government Area of Plateau State at about 12:53 a.m. to carry out the act.
A family member who craved anonymity said the kidnappers, numbering about six, forced themselves into the house and abducted three daughters of the Water Board boss at gunpoint.
The abducted daughters were identified as Nanlop, Kyenret and Favour.
It was further learnt that the family’s security guard, Benard Makjwan, was shot in the stomach and is currently receiving treatment in the hospital.
The source said the family had alerted the police and other security agencies about the development.
However, spokesman for the Plateau State police command, SP Alfred Alabo, could not be reached for confirmation as of the time of filing this report. (Nigerian Tribune)
