The Kano State Government, in collaboration with the Federal Government and development partners, will host the 2025 World Nutrition Day celebration on Thursday.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the epochal event aims to promote healthy eating habits and improve public awareness on nutrition, aligning with the United Nations’ annual observance.

Kano State Commissioner for Budget and Planning, Alhaji Musa Shanono, disclosed this in a statement issued in Kano on Wednesday.

He said that the celebration would enlighten the public on the importance of consuming nutritious food.

According to him, the event will feature a special exhibition showcasing nutritional products and food items, and provide a platform for stakeholders to discuss ways to utilise local food resources.

Shanono called on the public, particularly families and youths to participate actively in the celebration, reaffirming the state government’s unwavering commitment to improving nutrition and public health. (NAN)
