A former lawmaker who represented Kaduna Central Senatorial district, Senator Shehu Sani, has rubbished claims that the votes of Kaduna State in the 2023 presidential election were won for President Bola Tinubu by the immediate past governor of the state, Nasir El-Rufai.

El-Rufai made the claim when he appeared on Arise TV on Monday, during which he expressed disappointment that Tinubu failed to ensure he became a minister in his cabinet.

In a swift reaction, Sani said the former governor lied about working for Tinubu in the last presidential election.

Buttressing his point, the former lawmaker posted the results of the presidential election in Kaduna to show that the state was won by the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar.

He said: ?In case anyone from Kaduna State tries to lie that he delivered Tinubu in the 2023 Presidential election and he is entitled, this was the result: Atiku ? 554,360k; Tinubu ? 399,294k and Peter Obi, who was denied the use of Arewa House after paying for it, pulled 294,494k.? (The Guardian)
