Niger Governor Mohamed Umaru Bago has suspended three of his close aides with immediate effect.

The suspended officials include his Chief of Staff Abdullahi Usman Gbatamagi; Director General Protocol Abdullahi Yerima and Chief Details over alleged incompetence.

The Governor gave the directive during the State Council meeting at Government House in Minna.

The suspension came as a shock to the three suspended officials who were recently with the Governor in Lagos and Abuja.

The suspension, it was learnt is for one month.

The Governor directed the Secretary to the Niger State Government, Alhaji Abubakar Usman to issue the suspension letters to the affected officials without delay.

Government officials are yet to respond to calls or issue any statement over the development. (The Nation)
