The police authorities are set to deploy drones for surveillance during the Ondo State governorship election slated for Saturday, November 16, 2024.
On Friday, the FCT Commissioner of Police, Tunji Disu, in charge of the Nigerian Police Force monitoring team, prepared a drone deployment team to monitor the exercise.
Security operatives have indicated readiness to partner with the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for the off-cycle election.
A total number of 43,157 security personnel have been deployed for the election.
Of the number, police would deploy about 34,657 personnel to polling units, wards/LGA collation centres plus other strategic locations.
It is expected that four police personnel would man each polling unit. (Channels TV)
