Musa Ilyasu Kwankwaso
A stalwart of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Musa Ilyasu Kwankwaso on Sunday lamented how attack on the North west regional of NCC Industrial park wiped out 11,000 jobs for Kano youths.
Iliyasu Kwankwaso who hosted reporters in Kano against the widespread violence and looting that rocked the ancient city of Kano over the last couple of days described the vandalisation of the ICT hub as a major setback to the people of Kano
Hoodlums attacked, and looted the multimillion ICT hub last Thursday that originally slated for commissioning August 7th.
Kwankwaso who was a former Commissioner for Rural Infrastructure and Community Development under Shekaraus administration advised the youths to desist from destruction of property designed for their benefits.
The APC Chieftain said You should desist from destruction of property meant for your benefit especially the ICT hub of the NCC that was about to be commissioned when it was vandalized. If it had been allowed to be put to use, more than 11,000 persons will benefit from it from Kano.
Iliyasu Kwankwaso stated that This is very shameful; it is a shame on us to have vandalized and destroyed that multimillion naira project
He said that Let the masses understand that the president and his vice, Kashim Shetima mean well for the people of the country.
Kwankwaso mentioned some of the projects the northwest is benefitting from this administration that include the resumption of the Abuja-Kaduna-Kano road, the Ajaokuta-Kaduna-Kano pipelines, the northwest development commission, the Zaria-Zamfara road among others.
He also said that President Bola Tinubu is there for the masses under his renewed hope agenda in which the Minister for Housing had since flagged off the construction of 1000 housing units each in Katsina, Kano, Yobe and some other southern parts. (Courtesy, excluding headline, Daily Independent)
