Akwa Ibom State CP, Ayilare

The new Commissioner of Police in Akwa Ibom State, CP Waheed Ayilare, has solicited support of stakeholders in curving crimes in the state.
Ayillare stated this on Wednesday during his farmiliarization tour of Divisions within the state command.
He said that that the purpose of his tour was to assess the conditions of the Divisions and also hold meetings with stakeholders of the different Communities.
This was contained in a statement signed by the command’s Public Relations Officer, ASP Timfon John.
“The Akwa Ibom State Commissioner of Police, CP Waheed Ayilara on Wednesday, 15thMay, 2024 began tour of Police Divisions within the Command.
“The purpose of this tour is to assess the conditions of the Divisions and also hold meetings with stakeholders of the different communities.
“Communities visited on Wednesday include: Ikot Abasi LGA, Eastern Obolo LGA, and Mkpat Enin LGA.
“During the meeting with the stakeholders, CP Ayilara solicited their support in curbing crimes in the state.
“CP Ayilara assured the communities that the Command under his leadership will continue to work towards safeguarding the rights of citizens of the state by the establishment of Police Complaint Response Unit within the Command.
“In the same vein, CP Ayilara directly interacted with Police Officers within the divisions he visited during the Day-1 of the tour.
He charged them on the need to be diligent and committed to service.
He, however, warned against unprofessional conduct by officers and men as the Force’s leadership will not tolerate such.
The tour continued on Thursday, May 16, 2024 with visits to Onna, Ibeno and Eket local government areas.
