The Delta state government has announced the commencement of more grant scheme application forms for artisans of state origin.

The application Is suitable for those who specialised in tiling, vulcanizing, plumbing, carpentry, welding, Electrical works and manual labour skills.

This was contained in a statement signed by Mrs. Theresa Adiabua Oliko, Director of Public communication on Friday.

The statement reads: “It is hereby announced for the Information of the general public, particularly Deltans, that the Honourable Commissioner, Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Community Support Services and Girl-Child Development, Ms. Orode Uduaghan, has approved the commencement of applications from Artisans (Those with skills in tiling, vulcanizing, plumbing, carpentry, welding, electrical works, or other manual labour skills), for the 2024 Delta State Government MORE Grant Scheme, which is specifically tailored to Artisans aged 21 to 50 years.

“Application forms will be available for collection at the Secretariat of each of the 25 Local Government Councils in the state on Monday, 22^ndand Tuesday, 23^rdApril, 2024, from 11am to 2pm.

“Forms are to be collected FREE of charge with a valid means of identification such as the National Identity card, Permanent Voter’s card, National Driver’s license, or international passport.

“Furthermore, applicants must be indigenes of Delta State, as well as indigenes of the local government area where the form is collected. They must also be residents of their local government area of origin.

“Artisans who have benefitted previously from any Delta State Government grant or intervention programme are NOT qualified to apply, please. Submission of filled application forms will be on Wednesday, April 24^th, 2024, latest 3pm, at the Local Government Secretariat where the form was collected.”
