Late Sound Engineer, Precious Ofurum
One of the boat survivors, Stanley, has visited the bereaved family of the late sound engineer, Precious Ofurum, who drowned in the boat accident.
Precious had lost his life in a boat mishap that killed actor Junior Pope and four others last Wednesday, April 10.
The late sound engineer’s mother cried out to the government and her state governor for assistance for her son’s body to be transported back to their hometown for a befitting burial.
In the trending video, she said: “I am calling on the Government and the Governor of Rivers state to come and help me. As I am now, I am not feeling well. It is my son that has been taking care of me. Now there is no way for me to be treated and no one to care for the family… try to visit and see how you can carry my son back… Please help me.”
Stanley urged the people to help and donate to the family to bring the late sound engineer back to his hometown for a proper burial.
He captioned the post: “Family of one of the crew members (Precious Ofurum) is seeking help and calling on the Rivers State Government to assist them in burying their son properly.
“Precious Ofurum lost his life on the 10th of April in a boat accident at River Niger alongside popular Actor Jnr Pope and other crew members while going to the location for Adanma Luke’s movie production titled “The Other Side of Life.” The landlady of Precious said his spirit had not allowed them to rest in the compound.
“There would be a peaceful walk for Late Precious from Pleasure Park in Port Harcourt… Let’s tag @riversministryofinformation and @simfubaraksc @nyesomw. Let’s help this family please.” (The Nation)
