Pure water sachets

As the cost of production continues to bite harder on small business owners across the country, producers of sachet water in Effurun, Jeddo and Warri in Delta State, have embarked on a three-day strike, commencing on Friday 15th March, 2024.
This was contained in a statement signed by the coordinator of producers of sachet water in the said areas, Comrade Cletus Ebohon, which was made available to the press on Friday.
The statement also directed all its members of to use the opportunity of the three days strike to embark on a clean-up exercise of their premise, warning that failure to comply with the directives would attract sanctions.
According to the statement, the price of a bag of sachet water would now sell for four hundred and fifty naira, up from the previous three hundred and fifty naira, with effect from Monday 18th March, 2024.
The statement explained that the increase was due to the high cost of production of sachet water just as it appealed to consumers to bear with producers of pure water in the area. (Delta State News Bulletin)
