The lawmaker representing Ikwo South Constituency, Hon Moses Odunwa, has emerged the new Speaker of Ebonyi State 7th House of Assembly.

Hon Odunwa emerged the Speaker shortly after Governor Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru issued a proclamation inaugurating the 7th Assembly.

The House also elected Hon Chinedu Ohah, the lawmaker representing Ohaukwu South State Constituency, as the new Deputy Speaker.

In his inaugural speech, the new Speaker, Hon Odunwa thanked the almighty God for the privilege to serve the Ebonyi people.

He also lauded his colleagues for finding him worthy to pilot the affairs of the Assembly promising not to disappoint them.

The Speaker said the state Assembly under him, he would work hand in hand with other arms of government to move Ebonyi State forward.
