The Clerk of the National Assembly (CNA) has announced that the 10th National Assembly would be inaugurated on Tuesday, June 13, 2023.
This is following the Proclamation by the President, Commander-In- Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
The Assembly, therefore, informed “all Distinguished Senators-Elect and Honourable House of Representatives Members-Elect that the Inauguration of the 10th National Assembly is scheduled to hold on Tuesday, June 13.”
A statement issued and signed by the Clerk to the National Assembly, Sani Magaji Tambuwal, on Wednesday, June 7, 2023, in Abuja, indicated that the occasion would hold at the National Assembly Complex, Three Arms Zone by 10.00am prompt.
The clerk to the National Assembly also advised Distinguished Senators-Elect and Honourable House of Representatives Members-Elect were required to come along with their Code of Conduct Clearance, Certificates of Return and valid I.D cards for Registration at 10.am on Monday, 12th June, 2023 at the House of Representatives Conference Room 301 and Senate Conference Room 231 respectively.
Tambuwal noted that due to the ongoing renovation of the two Chambers, Senators-Elect and Honourable House of Representatives Members-Elect should come along with only one guest for the ceremony who will be seated at the Arcade.
The statement also asked the general public to note that only Senators - Elect and House of Representatives Members- Elect shall be given access to the Chambers.
The inauguration scheduled to hold on Tuesday, would formally kick-start the resumption of the 10th National Assembly of Nigeria's democratic dispensation.
