A Kogi monarch and paramount ruler of Ankpa kingdom, His Royal Highness, Alhaji Abdulmalik Umar, has appealed to subjects and title holders in his domain to become agents of new transformation and innovations.

The Onu Ankpa gave this advice during the recent coronation of eight illustrious sons and daughter of his kingdom, saying the recognition was not meant to encourage mischief, set back and dearth of positive ideas , but an opportunity to attract healthy competition in the area of development they have been known for that brought about the honour.

He said his decision to honor such large retinue of sons and a daughters of his kingdom was borne out of communal roles and successes recorded overtime by the recipients so as to encourage them to do more.

He appealed to them to do anything humanly possible and legitimate to attract more infrastructural, socio-economic development to Ankpa local government, stating that the area was in dire need of more developments.

The monarch urged the new title holders to live above board, attract job opportunities, social investments, industrial break- through, skill development and capacity building, as well as enterpreneurial development for the huge unemployment of youths, so as to discourage social problems, stating that social problems was a veritable tool to social malaise in the society.

The Royal father urged them to invest hugely in the security of lives and properties, as well as job security, saying menial jobs can no longer sustain the taste of time, but permanent and pensionable.

He told them that from time to time, they would be summoned on issues that borders on all- round development of the town and its environs, saying gone are the days when title holders only bore the honour, without commensurate responsibilities.

Alhaji Abdulmalik Umar said the dimensions of the current societal issues, called for the rejig of the responsibilities of title holders to become part and parcel of community development and advancement.

He congratulated the nine title holders and urged them to do more for humanity.
