The Director-General, National Productivity Center (NPC), Dr. Kashim Akor, has expressed satisfaction with the selection process of the Best Staff of the Year Award for 2022 conducted by the agency.
Dr. Akor who expressed satisfaction during his address to mark the programme on Thursday at the NPC headquarters, said the Centre was determined to carry its activities through best practices.
He said this feat achieved in a record time was thro through collective efforts and supports of the entire staff, advising them to sustain the tempo.
Dr. Akor maintained that the agency, in recent years, has demonstrated a high bar of productivity in all ramifications, stating that he was proud to identify with such rare feat and success that has placed the agency among the best government parastatals in Nigeria.
“We have raised the bar of performance and now enjoy high confidence from Nigerians, organizations in the area of training and re-training, as we are determined not to concede anything short of it.”
We are leaving a legacy that subsequent Chief Executives of NPC will contend with in the area of measurement and evaluation,” he said, adding “what is now required is a dint of hard work to keep the system afloat.
He urged the staff to further rededicate themselves to the progress and development of the agency so as continue to deliver on the mandate of the agency.
He commended the workers union, the Non-Academic Staff Union (NASU) for arriving at objective results in the selection of winners of the award.
“I deliberately allowed the workers union to be the judge in their own court, to avoid any distractions and enthrone fair judgement,” he said.
He called for greater team work by all departments in the agency to ensure more positive results.
Highlights of the occasion included presentation of certificates to the best workers of the year across departments and dancing competition, among others
