Frontline human rights group, Centre for Change, has condemned “in strong terms the grievous attack on yet another Nigerian, Senator Ifeanyi Ubah, where human lives were wasted.”

The group in a statement on Monday signed by its President, Dr. Joe Okei Odumakin, called on “all Nigerians of goodwill to join hands and demand the overhauling of this country’s security system.”

“How many lives must be lost before we effect State Police?” Centre for Change asked while reacting to Sunday’s attack by gunmen on Ubah’s convoy in Enugwu-Ukwu, Anambra State.

“We pray for the repose of the souls of the deceased and fortitude for their families to bear the loss,” Centre for Change said in the statement.
