Governor Atiku Bagudu
By GARBA MUHAMMAD, Kaduna
Kebbi State Governor, Abubakar Atiku Bagudu, has stated reasons for dissolving the state executive council.
The Governor had approved the dissolution of the state executive council on Wednesday, September 7, 2022.
Bagudu in a statement issued by Yahaya Sarki, his Special Adviser (SA) on Media, said that “the dissolution was occasioned by the need to fill existing vacancies following the departure of the former Chief of Staff, who is now the National Organising Secretary of the APC.”
He extolled the sterling contributions of the immediate past members of the State Executive Council.
The Governor and chairman of the APC Governors' Forum also noted the immeasurable sacrifices of the former members of the state executive council, saying it had propelled the development of the state to an enviable height.
“Similarly, two other commissioners whose leave of absence in the place of work lapsed had left,” he said.
Bagudu said that the state would have lost their positions if the State Government had insisted on retaining them.
“They were the former Attorney General and the ex- Commissioner of Information who is now at NIPPS, Kuru-Jos,” he said.
Bagudu said that other vacancies were created by the resignation of the people who sought to occupy various political positions.
