Late Emmanuel Nwafor Onyeani

Chief Emmanuel Nwafor Onyeani, father of frontline rights activist, Comrade Nelson Nnanna Nwafor, has died, aged 86.
The death, which took place on Monday, August 15, 2022, was announced over the weekend by Comrade Nwafor, the Executive Director of Foundation for Environmental Rights, Advocacy & Development (FENRAD). He described the late Chief Onyeani as “a perfect gentleman with lots of good position and intellectual sagacity”, “a man of integrity and wisdom, an advocate of peace and love” who “contributed immensely to the development of Ebem Ohafia in Ohafia LGA of Abia state”.
A statement signed by the rights activist said: “From the family of Late Chief Emmanuel Nwafor Onyeani of Ndia Agwu compound Ekelougo in Ebem Ohafia in Ohafia LGA of Abia state.
“We announce the Glorious Exit of an icon, Chief Emmanuel Nwafor Onyeani, who went to be with the Lord on Monday 15th August 2022 at the ripe age of 86 years.
“Late Chief Emmanuel Nwafor Onyeani was a perfect Gentleman with lots of good position and intellectual sagacity and contributed immensely to the Development of Ebem Ohafia in Ohafia LGA of Abia state.
“A man of integrity and Wisdom, An Advocate of Peace and Love.
“He will be fondly remembered for the legacy he has left behind.
“The burial arrangement will be communicated by his family in due course.
“Adieu the Great man
“You will be greatly missed.”
