The Federal Government doled out several schemes where both young and old can benefit from but, unfortunately, if you do not know the supposed “oga at the top” in Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), you will be unable to benefit from those federal schemes.

In the past few years, Buhari’s government vowed to eradicate poverty through multifarious governmental schemes where the haggard poor masses can’ benefit from; but the top men in position of those schemes majorly loot the funds with their kids. We can see a lot of those hidden secrets being exposed: how a certain director of a national bank looted over N6 billion meant for poor masses through those schemes put in place by Federal Government under the auspices of the Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs. The only thing humanitarian about those affairs is the boy buying exotic fast cars and foreclosure houses in Dubai and in North America.

I have emphatically written about corruption multiple times and these corruption can never stop in the Nigerian system of government, because it has been part of her since or even before she gained her independence; These corruption issues continue to linger and it’s at the detriment of the poor-looking, haggard masses suffering in villages where most of these funds can be properly utilized majorly through simple farming.

To be of any solution, schemes put out by the Federal Government should be on merit; not on Mr Lagbaja recommended me as they end up messing up the various ministries they are assigned to. It’s only in Nigeria a third class graduate is a boss to a first class university graduate, even with extra degrees like Masters' and Doctorate. This has to stop today. Monitoring units are to be assigned to critically monitor these schemes put out to employ best qualified graduates into the various positions available.

But, if one may ask: Is 20,000 jobs enough to cater for over a 50 million jobless youths most of who are seeking refuge in foreign countries?

That is how we’ve lost a lot of the best brains to foreign countries.
