Money for hand, back for ground (3)

As I jus reach for Oba Akran Avenue for Ikeja, quick, quick I don land for bank to cash my cheque.

I wan enter inside bank, di security man say I must to first collect my number tag, siddon outside and wait for my turn.

I tell di security man say I dey for hurry, say I wan rush cash my cheque and run comot for dia.

Di security say weda I no see all di people wey dey for di canopy, say all of dem also wan rush go dia business. E say some people don dey dia since 6o'clock am in di morning.

I collect my tag, na number 150 lohun lohun! Tori Olorun!

I tell di security man say I go come back after later. How I go come siddon outside bank dey wait for my turn di hole day?

Di security man say well, na me sabi. E say make I remember say for dis Coro time, bank for Lagos dey open 9 o'clock am in di morning and close 2 o'clock pm in di afternoon for customer.

I look time, I see say 12 o'clock pm in di afternoon don nack. I say make I kukuma wait.

My broder, na so I siddon for di canopy and wait ti-ti-ti till 2 o'clock pm in di afternoon wen one bobo like dat with big belle come tell us say bank don close for dat day till tomorrow.

Di next day I go dia early morning. Na number 50 my tag me. I siddon till afternoon and na so di same big belle man come tell us again say bank don close till tomorrow. Olorun Oba o!

Na so I carry dat cheque dey waka for di bank for one week before I finally cash am yesterday afternoon.

I dey enjoy di money nyafu nyafu now. Dat oga for dat company for Banana Estate wey I carry dat day do me better, no be small.

But di ting be say, becos of dis bank matter, even if na one million naira passenger wan pay, na cash, no cheque till dis Coro finish.

I don write am sef join for my rate card say, “Money for hand, back for ground.”

Make we jam again on Tuesday.
