Charly Boy thanks God for coronavirus

Controversial entertainer Charly Boy

Nigeria’s most controversial entertainer, Charles Chukwuemeka Oputa, better known as Charly Boy, has sent some “yabis” to Nigeria’s seat of power generally called Aso Rock.

The 70 years old Imo State-born afro beats/highlife maestro in a recent video clip he shared on the social media extols God for allowing the coronavirus pandemic as a way to reprimand the world, particularly those in Nigeria government.

The said video shows the self-acclaimed Area Fada clinching the Bible while in a prayer session delivered in pidgin.

He begins by saying, “With all the money they stole, las las we are all in the same pot.”

Continuing he says, “Father I thank you for this coronavirus. Baba God I dey see your hand for this crisis. Father Lord, I know say no be you bring coronavirus come for us but I know you as a very spiritual being. For your word in Jeremiah chapter 29 verse 11 says, ‘For I know the thoughts I think towards you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. Father Lord, I know you have allowed this to happen to teach us a bitter lesson’.”

According to the singer, songwriter, TV presenter, producer, publisher and US-trained mass communicator, the ravaging virus is here to expose the hypocrisy of those in the corridor of power in the country.

“See them being admitted in Nigerian hospitals which they refused to build. Baba God I see your hand o!...You have humbled the proud and the powerful…who had forgotten that they got to their positions by grace and mercy…” continues His Royal Punkness in his 3.06 minutes prayer session spiced with Bible references.

As you know, with Charly Boy anything can happen. All he expects you to do is join him with a resounding Amen!

But just know that you are on your own (OYO).
