Versatile singer, Harrysong
Versatile singer, songwriter, instrumentalist and performer, Harrison Tare Okiri, popularly known by his stage name Harrysong a.k.a Mr Songz missed his regular gig on radio on Monday.
The Warri, Delta State-born artiste who rose to fame after his tribute song to Nelson Mandela won “The most downloaded callertune award” at The Headies 2013 attributed his inability to show up for the radio programme to the fact that his grandmother whose 85th birthday was same day was admitted to a hospital.
The chart-topping song “Beta Pikin” crooner has suddenly realised that he needs to get married and raise children as soon as possible before his sick grandmother kicks the bucket.
“Sorry y’all, can’t go live on radio today. Grandma clock (sic) 85 years today. Suppose to be celebrating but she is in the hospital. But don’t worry y’all, we’ll do Wednesday. Abeg I need to marry, born before this woman go ooo,” he wrote in a post on his Instagram page.
