Naira Marley repents, goes spiritual

Controversial singer Azeez Fashola aka Naira Marley

It is a big surprise that highly controversial singer, songwriter and sole commander of the “Marlian Army”, Azeez Fashola known professionally as Naira Marley has repented from his many ‘sins’.

It is even a bigger surprise that the 26 years old Agege, Lagos State-born afro beats and hip hop artiste has gone spiritual and is preaching from the Holy Book, offering lots and lots of prayers along the line.

“Fasting is only 1% of not eating and drinking, the rest of the 99% is bringing your heart and soul closer to Allah,” tweeted the “Am I A Yahoo Boy” crooner some days back.

Marley, who is a regular guest of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) was also in spirit when he tweeted earlier in the day:

“Prayer is an amazing exchange. You hand over your worries to ALLAH and ALLAH hands over his blessings to you”.

And he went on:

“The Quran was revealed in this month. It’s a month of blessing, mercy and forgiveness. The doors of heaven are opened. The doors of hell are closed. The shaytaan is chained up. Rewards are multiplied from 10-700 times. (laylatul-qadr) night is better than 1000 months."

His teeming fans were stunned. They could not comprehend. They found it difficult to believe that what they were reading actually came from their idol.”

But one of his fans summoned up courage and retorted:

“Naira Marley tweeting sense? Thank you sense for returning to that head.”

This is hoping that the new man in Naira Marley will live on even after the month of Ramadan.

Any Marlians in the house?
