Biafra Nations Youth League (BNYL) has stated that it will not be distracted by the Coronavirus pandemic from rampaging Fulani herdsmen attacking people of the region. Speaking on behalf of the National Leader of BNYL, Princewill Chimezie Richard, by the Chief Press Secretary, Richard Dianabasi Odung, he said to newsmen in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, that the lockdown does not affect herdsmen killings.
The BNYL disclosed that the group cancelled its National Convention formerly scheduled to hold on April 4 at Ikom, Cross River State, due to the lockdown.
He said that the convention would have been used to plan BNYL’s action against the menace of killer herdsmen, adding that even without a national convention the members of the group “who are trained for guerilla tactics will be equipped to confront them after lockdown.”
BNYL vowed that it “will no longer tolerate invasion of the region and destruction of property, raping of women and killing of farmers by the rampaging herdsmen.”
