Jim Iyke quarantined after test for coronavirus

Star actor Jim Iyke

This is indeed a season of quarantine, self-isolation and social distancing, no thanks to the ravaging novel coronavirus pandemic. And our top entertainers are not left out.

One of the top Nigerian artistes currently under quarantine is James Ikechukwu Esomugha, popularly known as Jim Iyke.

The only difference is that, the 44 years old indigene of Anambra State born in Libreville, Gabon, is the one quarantining himself.

According to a video clip he posted on Thursday on his Instagram page, the Philosophy graduate from the University of Jos said he decided to move into self quarantine after travelling to nine countries in Europe and America.

He said he did not want to put his family and relations back in Nigeria at a risk hence his decision to quarantine himself in far away Paris.

The controversial actor said he had done nine days in quarantine and four different tests as at Thursday, out of the mandatory 14 days he gave himself.

In spite of his elaborate explanation, some bad belle people are still saying that the father of one (a son born in April 2019) who is one of the highest paid actors in Nollywood and who was purportedly delivered from ‘evil spirit’ at Prophet T.B. Joshua’s Synagogue Church of All Nations, may have actually caught the virus and does not want to return till he is well again.

They are asking, why should he quarantine himself after four tests which he claims were negative?

Well, my only advice to this set of people is that they should not forget Jim Iyke holds a black belt in taekwondo and they know what that means if he returns to catch anyone with such gist.

To be forewarned is to be forearmed, so they say.
