The Police Service Commission (PSC) has promoted 233 senior police officers.
Among them are 55 Assistant Commissioners of Police (ACP) promoted to Deputy Commissioners of Police (DCP), 177 Chief Superintendents of Police (CSP) promoted to Assistant Commissioners of Police (ACP), and one Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) promoted to Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP).
Inspector-General of Police, IGP Suleiman Abba, “has congratulated the newly promoted officers and charged them to see their elevation as a mark of additional responsibility and a call to rededicate themselves to their professional callings,” Force Public Relations Officer, Ag. CP Emmanuel C. S. Ojukwu, said yesterday in a statement in Abuja.
He added that the IGP equally enjoined the newly promoted officers to uphold ethical standards and the fundamental human rights of Nigerians in the discharge of their duties at all times.
