Etsu Nupe leads monarchs to IBB

The Etsu Nupe, Alhaji Yahaya Abubakar, has led traditional rulers council of Niger State on a visit to welcome General Ibrahim Babangida back home from his medical trip in Germany.

The Etsu Nupe is the chairman of the state traditional rulers council. It was learnt that the visit held behind closed doors and lasted for one hour after which the monarchs departed in convoy at 2 pm.

Other emirs in the company of the Etsu included Sarikin Sudan of Kontagora, Alhaji Saidu Namaska; Emir of Suleja, Malam Mohammadu Awal Ibrahim; Emir of Agaie, Ahaji Yusuf Nuhu, Emir of Lapai, Alhaji Umar Bago, Emir of Minna, Alhaji Umaru Farouk Bahago and emir of Kalgara, Alhaji Salihu Tanko.

The Etsu Nupe was said to led a prayer for improved health of the General.

IBB returned to Minna last weekend, and has since played host to many prominent Nigerians, including former President Olusegun Obasanjo, former vice president Atiku Abubakar, PDP national chairman Adamu Muazu among others.
