Ahead of 2023, stakeholders from various backgrounds in Ebonyi state on Monday joined other states in the South East to clamour for President of Igbo extraction in 2023.

At a meeting at Osborn Lapalm Hotel in Abakaliki, stakeholders from religious, business and political backgrounds from the state said the people of Ebonyi state would join forces with other states of the zone to make robust case for the number one position in the country .

Dr.Ngozi Obichukwu, Focal Person ,Sustainable Development Goals in the state who is the National Women leader South East 4 President 2023, in her remarks noted that Ebonyi State is the worst hit in the marginalization of the zone, adding that the state can not keep quiet in any struggle to integrate the zone into the mainstream of the nation’s politics.

She said that agitation for Igbo Presidency in 2023 is a collective responsibility of all true sons and daughters of the zone irrespective of party affiliation.

She explained that South East 4Presidency 2023 is not interested in any political party or any candidate but to fight for the right of the Igbos

” Let me emphasise that South East 4 President 2023 is not fighting for any political party or candidate. We are apolitical group fighting for the right of the South East. Please in your various engagements do not to mention party or candidate. When the time comes God will give us a leader after his own heart to go for the zone”

She further called on the people of the state and the South East to join the movement.

Hon.Kennedy Ogba, State Coordinator of South East 4 Presient2023, in his speech said the group would be formally inaugurated on 25th of June 2019. (Independent)
