Former Governor of Osun State,OgbeniRauf Aregbesola, has dispelled the insinuation that there exist rancour between him and the current Governor, Adegboyega Oyetola.

Aregbesola who made the remarks at the weekend in Osogbo, Osun State, during a colloquium lecture marking his 62nd birthday anniversary enjoined the people to disregard any allegation of a frosty relationship between him and Oyetola.

Aregbesola who appreciated the people for their support and love for him said “let me clear the air that there is no brigandage between me and the present government. The current government is as a result of our unfettered commitment, result, and effort. We cannot but continue to pray for the progress of what we laboured and strived for.

“Oyetola is my senior brother who is senior to me in all ramifications. He has achieved a lot in his personal life before having a stint at all in government. So, there’s nothing meaningful in me having any issues with him. Let the detractors know that there can only be peace within us and the state.”

It was reported in Daily Independent that rift exists between Aregbesola and Oyetola over the zoning of the party executive positions over the forthcoming State Congress of the ruling party,
