Supporters Club extols Guinness’ passion for football

National Chairman of Nigeria Football Supporters Club (NFSC), Prince Vincent Okumagba, has expressed gratitude to Guinness Nigeria Plc for its continuous support to the club, especially during the last Nations Cup, and Brazil 2014 World Cup.

He stated this when he led members of his executive on a courtesy visit to the corporate headquarters of the company at Ikeja, Lagos.

According to him, the company has shown its passion and interest towards the round leather game, hence its continued support to the NFSC, noting that whatever little mileage the company has enjoyed from the partnership with the club, no doubt, must have been encouraging. “In short, it is what we can offer, we are willing and ready to continue on that line,” he assured, adding:

“We must say a big thank you, and like the adventurous Oliver Twist, we would continue to ask for more. On behalf of the club, l appeal that a long term relationship between us be considered by your management. Such step will be richly beneficial to both parties at the long run, as we have witnessed enduring growth of it during this short run.”

Dr Obinna Anyalebechi, Marketing Manager, Guinness Foreign Extra Stout, who received the Supporters club chairman and his entourage, thanked his guests for coming and assured them that he will take their message to the management for consideration.

He extolled the sterling roles of the club in football support, urging them to continue to bring in more entertaining innovations into the game outside the field of play. He noted that Nigeria’s outing in Brazil would not be said to be worse, but definitely not the best, adding that better days await our football.

The chairman was accompanied by Oyo State chapter boss, Ali Dauda Femi and Elder Ologunye Cherubim Folorunsho, Mrs. Kemi Popoola, Jimoh Alao and Nkechi Obi among others. He later presented souvenirs and some brands of the club’s jerseys to Dr. Anyalebechi.
